What’s Next For NYC Tech?

November 8, 2017 by Eyal Bino

2017 has been a year of continued massive growth for the NYC tech ecosystem. From exciting exits to numerous IPOs and a large number of new VCs setting up shop in town, NYC continues to establish itself as a tech powerhouse with explosive entrepreneurial activity across a broad cross-section of verticals and horizontals. Will 2018 finally be the year of massive exits we’ve all been waiting for? Or, are we still in the building stage of this unique tech ecosystem?

To answer these questions and more, we’ve gathered some of the best minds in the venture and tech ecosystem for a special event co-hosted by ICONYC labs and ‘Lifion by ADP’. Panelists include Andrew Cleland (Managing Director, Comcast Ventures), Ed Sim (Founding Partner, BoldStart Ventures), Sutian Dong (Partner, Female Founders Fund) and Chieh Huang (Co-Founder & CEO, Boxed). The panel was moderated by Jing Cao (tech reporter, Bloomberg) and hosted over 150 tech founders, investors and corporate executives.
